Ethical and Effective Coordination of Care Between Community and School Counselors

Section D of the American Counseling Association Code of Ethics mandates counselors to learn about and to develop ethical and effective relationships with other professionals both inside and outside the field of counseling. It can be frustrating to work with professionals who may see a client in a different setting and through a different professional lens.

This 5-hour ethics course is a combined presentation by Licensed Professional Counselors, Certified Professional Counselor Supervisors and School Counselors. We will combine both community counselors and school counselors in an effort to learn about each other’s areas of expertise, to understand limits to each other’s scope of practice and to form and strengthen relationships among professionals who work with children in an effort to provide more effective coordination of care for clients.
